Men’s Skin Care After 60

To be perfectly clear, if you are over 60, you’ve put in a lot of quality time to make your face look the way it does. Not much we can do to alter it except make your skin look as good as it can and hopefully in the process put a smile on your face, which will improve it greatly.

That said, we have developed a highly scientific 5-step skincare program for men over the age of 60.

Step 1. Relax.

When it comes to the scheme of things, skincare is probably not your top priority. So, relax about it. Enjoy washing (and applying our products). Think happy thoughts. Blah, blah, blah. But seriously, relaxing does wonders for your skin.

Step 2. Go Fly a Kite

We’re not kidding. Go out, get a kite, and go fly it.  Instead of thinking about your skin, you’ll be looking up at the sky and tapping into the kid in you. And that will do wonders for your entire wellbeing.

Step 3. Facial Massage

Now we are kidding. On two counts. First, do you have any idea how to do a facial massage? We don’t. Do you rub in circular movements? Clockwise or counterclockwise?

Second, even if you know how, massaging your face regularly is going to make you look more closely at your skin.  That runs counter to Step 1. However, as far as having a full body massage, that’s another thing entirely and completely supports Step 1.

Step 4. Coffee, Wine, Beer, and Pot

We have no skin in this. There are probably as many studies that say that these are good for you as those that say they are not. What we will say is that using Old Guy Skincare will not in any way affect your reactions to coffee, wine, beer, or pot. Just in case you were wondering.

Step 5. Exercise, Hydration, and Food

Unless you already exercise regularly, hydrate throughout the day, and eat whole foods, we’re worried telling you to do these things will increase your stress levels and make you feel guilty that you are not all you can be.  And if truth be told, telling you to do these things would be like “do as I say, not as I do.”  I take long walks with my dog, forget to drink extra water just about every day, and while I do tend to eat whole foods, I have been known to chow down on processed foods and cookies. Basically, for our skincare program, do what you do. We think it’s great.

Well, that’s our 5-step skincare program for men over 60. We are working on a 5-step skincare program for men over 61, which we think will revolutionize men’s skin care.
