The make up (pun intended)
of New Guy Skincare

Who are we?

Full transparency.

Right now, we are a really small company. At the end of 2020, we produced our first batch of products. A small run. We wanted to see how people would react.  So far, we’re getting rave reviews.

Three old(er) guys started this: Peter, Paul, and Gerry.

Honestly, it’s dumb luck that we have these first names. Or maybe, it’s a sign that it was meant to be.

We’ve had help along the way: Christina, Sandy, Maura, Kay and our wonderful manufacturing partner Vermont Soap.

Our origin story goes like this.

Paul and Gerry were working on some skincare for younger women. Peter came along and said, “The world doesn’t need another skincare product for women, especially one made by a bunch of old guys.”

Our brain synapses went into overdrive and we realized that first, there was no natural skincare specifically for old guys like us, and second, who better to make skincare for old(er) guys than a bunch of old guys.

And so, the birth of New Guy Skincare™.

Scintillating stuff, right?

We’re on a mission.

To transform older guys into newer guys.

Because every day is a new day, for everyone. And even as you get older, that part of being alive is still ever-present.

And our hope is that every day you apply our all-natural, refreshing and rejuvenating skincare, you’ll think, “Hey, it’s a new day. Anything is possible, you good-looking guy, you.”

The three of us have worked in the natural products world for decades and so we are committed to only using natural ingredients. Grown sustainably whenever possible. Certified organic is the eventual goal. And best of all, we’re committed to making products that feel and smell good on your skin, otherwise what’s the point.

We’re excited about the future of New Guy Skincare. We’re looking forward to a fun ride. Time’s ticking. Hope you can join us.

Peter Littell

This old(er) guy has been marketing natural products since the early 1990s, consulting for the leading skin care, herbal, and dietary supplement companies. Before that, who cares. He learned about skincare from Dr. Hauschka (not the man but the company). Even visited their biodynamic gardens in Germany. He fell in love with Schisandra when he worked with Herb Pharm (thanks Shayne). And he’s been the Marketing & Research Director of Pure Branding since 2009. He’s a big believer in regenerative agriculture, having served on the board of directors of the Biodynamic Association (BDA), the oldest sustainable-agriculture organization in North America.

Paul Lisseck

This old(er) guy is why we’re here. He connected Gerry and Peter. It’s what he does—make things happen, and he’s been doing it for a long time. In the early 90’s he co-founded the natural products brokerage ‘Trans Action Natural’ and represented many natural companies, including the skincare brand ‘Beauty Without Cruelty.’ In 2006 he met TC Chang and was introduced to his Schisandra fields in Hadley, MA. He became co-founder and General Manager for Chang Naturals, introducing the organic, bright-red five flavored berry to people of all ages and walks of life.

Gerry McCarthy

This old(er) guy knows his stuff. He’s been working with herbs, balms, tinctures, and aromatherapy oils for a good chunk of his life. In 1991, when he was in his early 60s, he founded Leyden House, where he was able to mix his natural inclination to invent with healing essential oils. He conceptualized a patented essential oil diffuser and developed formulas that supported his multi-sensory approach to well-being. He can’t wait to make more skincare for old guys.

Where we make the magic.
